Fitness Room

Welcome to the Chebeague Rec Center’s Fitness Room! This space is full of state of the art exercise equipment and machines, including treadmills, exercise bikes, dumbbells, yoga mats, and more. Patrons can also take advantage of live TV or the Bluetooth speaker.

CRC Members can use the Fitness Room at any time at no additional cost. Nonmembers are welcome to purchase a drop-in fitness pass in person or online for $10. To get started, read the participation rules and submit the liability agreement below.

 

Participation Rules

We’re asking all members and program participants to agree to the following:

  • Please use headphones if others are using the fitness room
  • Limit your use of each station so that others can use it as well
  • Use clean indoor shoes to help us keep the fitness room clean
  • Students under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult

Illness Guidelines:

  • Stay home if you have any symptoms of illness
  • Wear a mask at all times if you have not been Fully
  • Vaccinated Members must bring their own filled water bottle, as no water will be provided
  • Clean equipment and surfaces before AND after use Signed Waiver Form required prior to participation

Healthy-Self Check: For the health and well being of our members, staff and community, before you come to the Rec, please ask yourself the following:

1. Has anyone you’ve come into contact with been recently exposed to someone with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19?
2. Have you or a member of your household experienced or come into contact with anyone with the following known symptoms?

    • Fever or chills
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Fatigue
    • Muscle or body aches
    • Headache
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Sore throat
    • Congestion or runny nose
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Diarrhea

3. Do you or anyone in your household have any of these symptoms? If you answer yes to any of these questions, please follow CDC guidelines and stay home.

If you answer no to all questions, we look forward to seeing you at the Rec!

Waiver of Liability Agreement

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. THIS DOCUMENT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS AND IS LEGALLY BINDING. BY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT YOU ARE RELEASING CHEBEAGUE RECREATION CENTER FROM ALL LIABILITY AND GIVING UP ANY CLAIMS THEREFORE.

Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge and agree that any use of Chebeague Recreation Center facilities, services, equipment and premises (“Facilities”) and any participation in Chebeague Recreation Center programs and activities (“Programs”) comes with inherent risks including, but in no way limited to: (1) moderate and severe personal injury, (2) property damage, (3) disability, (4) death, and (5) sickness or disease. I voluntarily accept and assume full responsibility for these risks as well as any and all other risks of the use of Facilities and participation in Programs. I agree that I have full knowledge of the nature and extent of all such risks and am not relying on all such risks being described in this document.

Waiver, Release, Indemnification & Covenant Not to Sue In consideration of the use of Facilities and participation in Programs
I, the undersigned, agree that Chebeague Recreation Center, its officers, directors, agents, employees, volunteers, insurers and representatives (“Releasees”) will not be liable for any personal injury, property damage, disability, death, sickness or disease incurred by myself, my family members, dependents, or guests, including minors, however occurring including, but not limited to the negligence of Releasees. I understand that I will be solely responsible for any loss or damage, including personal injury, property damage, disability, death, sickness or disease sustained from the use of Facilities and participation in Programs. I further agree, on behalf of myself and any and all legal successors and proxies, to release and HEREBY DO RELEASE, WAIVE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE Releasees from any causes of action, claims, suits, liabilities or demands of any nature whatsoever including, but in no way limited to, claims of negligence, which I and any and all legal successors and proxies may have, now or in the future, against Releasees on account of personal injury, property damage, disability, death, sickness, diseases or accident of any kind, arising out of or in any way related to the use of Facilities or participation in Programs, whether that participation is supervised or unsupervised, however the injury or damage occurs, including, but not limited to the negligence of Releasees. In further consideration of the use of Facilities and participation in Programs, I agree to INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS Releasees from any and all causes of action, claims, demands, losses, suits, liabilities or costs of any nature whatsoever, including claims of negligence, arising out of or in any way related to the use of Facilities and participation in Programs by myself, my family members, dependents or guests, including any minors.
