Your annual membership supports the Rec and our community! Memberships support all programs, the Teen Center, and activities throughout the year, including: maintenance and upgrades to the Fitness Room, Pool and Tennis Court, & staffing for the Rec Center, Kids’ Place, Pool, and After School programs. Chebeague Recreation Center relies on memberships to keep our organization running and the doors open. In an attempt to better serve our community and pay for rising costs, we changed the membership structure in 2025.

What Does My Membership Include?
Each Membership includes access to the fitness room, courts, meeting rooms, and pool. Membership also includes discounted camps and other programs and free attendance to Membership Events. Two one-time, day use Guest Passes included per membership – stop by the office to collect your guest passes. Please complete the waiver below and stop by the office for a door code and more information about the facility.

Is My Infant Free?
Yes! Infants under 3 years old are automatic members.

Does My Teen Need to be a Member to Access the Teen Room or Attend Teen Center?
No! Use of Teen Room and participation in Teen Center is free for all teens (Resident and Non-resident).

Do I Need a New Membership if I Purchased one in 2024?
Moving forward, memberships are for the calendar year in which they were purchased. HOWEVER, during this transition, anyone who purchased a membership in 2024 will remain members until a year since it was purchased. After this point, we are offering pro-rated memberships for the remainder of the year.

What If I Can’t Afford to be a Member but I would Like to Use the Facility?
We don’t want payment to be a barrier to anyone who would like to benefit from the Rec Center. Payment plans and scholarships are available (inquire with the office or print a scholarship application from our Home page and return it to the main office or chebeaguerecreation@gmail.com). When purchasing a membership online, please simply use the code “Full Scholarship” in the discount code line to become a member for free.

How Much Do Memberships Cost (and Why)?
Here’s what’s new:
Free Membership for Year-Round Residents Under 18 & Students: To support our youngest community members, we’re thrilled to offer free membership for all year-round residents under 18, and all year-round residents with student IDs.
New Annual Membership Rates:
Year-round residents: $230 for adults (children & students: FREE)
Non year-round residents: $260 for adults, $90 for students & under 18 year olds, and $520 for families (inclusive of parents and their children in a family).
New Drop-in/Guest Pass Options for Non-members:
Gym and courts: $5 for year-round residents; $10 for non-year-round residents.
Gym, courts, and pool: $10 for year-round residents; $15 for non-year-round residents.
All other programs: Pay as you can suggestion of $5 for year-round residents and $10 for non-year-round residents.
